The Peep Me Out collab is dedicated to @smashlee1 – a famous nail artist, blogger, and connoisseur of Peeps. If you aren’t following Ashlee on Instagram what are you doing? Go, go, go now. 🙂

Did you know that Peeps come in a variety of flavors? They do! A wide variety of fun, possibly yummy, and definitely interesting flavors. The polishes in this collection are inspired by OG and new flavors. Let’s peep to it!

I photograph indoors using daylight bulbs. Each swatch shows 3 coats with a qdtc or matte (unless otherwise noted). Remember, colors vary from monitor to monitor.

Color Spectrum – Chillin With My Peeps

Chillin With My Peeps – A creamy baby blue base loaded with lots of blue shimmers and scattered yellow holo glitters.

Now, I’m biased because blue is my favorite color, but Chillin With My Peeps is a beautiful blue! I believe the inspiration behind the color is the OG blue bunnies/chicks. From my confession y’all know which OG Peeps color I’m grabbing.

The blue shimmer really steps up this baby blue’s game, but don’t forget about the yellow holo glitter scattered throughout. Adding the exact amount of flair. Chillin With My Peeps is gorgeous on it’s own in either glossy or matte. Will also be a great base for nail art. Bring on Spring!

Have Your PEEPS Cake and Eat It Too – a bubble gum pink polish with purple-pink-orange shifting shimmer and matte glitters of purple, blue, pink, green, and yellow

1422 Designs has created the absolute best ever cake nail polish. (please don’t eat) While I was swatching and editing I kept commenting to myself how well this polish looks like a cake I want to eat. I now need Peeps to make a hybrid flavor of their party cake and cotton candy. A cotton candy peeps cake would be the best!

The bubble gum pink base is delicate, sweet, and innocent. The matte glitters pull in more attention. Not only is it a perfect cake polish, but an absolutely fantastic spring polish. It’s happy and fun!

*Note: I probably could have gotten away with 2 coats, but I wanted the pink to really come through and used 3. I did notice a bit of a texture after using 1 coat of topcoat so I did a second coat for a super smooth finish. If you don’t mind just a very very slight texture you won’t need to use two 2 coats.

Geekish Glitter Lacquer – Peeps Party

Peeps Party – A white crelly base with a mix of pastel purple, pink, blue, and red glitters in varying shapes and sizes

The makers in the Peep Me Out collab are knocking these inspos out of the park! Peeps Party is inspired by Confetti Cake Peeps and it’s a home run. If confetti cake peeps were a polish this is the polish. 100%. The end.

Besides being absolutely spot on with the peep inspo, Peeps Party is another chef’s kiss polish for spring. With three coats the pastel glitters aren’t in your face, but I bet with a little bit of sponging one could achieve more glitters on the surface.

*Note: I found this polish to be slightly on the thicker side, but nothing that was difficult to work with. This is a normal crelly thing.

Swamp Gloss – Watermelon Sugar

Watermelon Sugar – A neon green jelly with red/peach/orange shimmer and matching iridescent flakies with a UV charged green glow

I’m obsessed with this neon green. When I first received it I loved it in the bottle, but I didn’t know how I’d feel about it on my nails. I don’t wear a lot of green, especially neon green in general, but as soon as I put it on all doubts drifted away. Just like winter should. It’s springtime now!

Watermelon Sugar represents its peepspiration fantastically! It’s a watermelon nail polish that glows. And can we talk about the glow for a second. It was amazingly easy to make it glow. I simply held my hand under my Ottlite for 20-30 seconds, stepped into my dark bathroom, and BOOM my fingers were a glow. If you love easy glow-in-the-dark polishes or what to add glow-in-the-dark polishes to your collection this one is for you!

*Note: Neons are hard to photograph. With that being said, I do think my swatches show this electric neon green a little on the yellow side. For me to achieve that really bright neon green with more opacity I might start with a white base next time. My pictures show swatches over a clear peel-off base coat.

Red Eyed Lacquer – Smore Peeps Please

Smore Peeps Please – A brown crelly with lime green shifting shimmer and gold shifting flakies

Possibly the wildest fun flavor of all Peeps is the Root Beer one. I can’t recall trying them myself, but I am intrigued. So where does the Smores part come in? I’m glad you asked! From what I’ve heard, the root beer flavored ones are AMAZING as smores.

It’s absolutely genius to use Peeps as the marshmallow in smores. When I named Ashlee a Peeps connoisseur I was not joking. She’s a pro and now I’m wondering what other tricks she has up her sleeve.

Enough of Ashlee, back to this stunner Red Eyed Lacquer created. I LOVE the green shimmer in Smore Peeps Please. It’s such a fantastic pair with the brown and the gold shifting flakies. Fantastic and original combination. If you’re like me and you don’t have any/very few browns in your collection don’t slpeep on this one.

*Note: Originally this polish was supposed to be a magnetic polish. HOWEVER and unfortunately the magnetic pigment had other plans which included not working properly and breaking our hearts.

Peep This Out

Final thoughts: I’m really impressed with this collab. Not only was each maker able to create a polish that really captured a peep, but also put a bit of Spring in my step.

PLUS! It’s awesome to see collaborations, even secret ones, in our community between makers and bloggers. Ashlee didn’t know about the collab until it arrived at her home. Fun polishes, a great representation of inspiration, and fabulous dedication!
