Oh, hi there! Are you here to look at some pretty polishes made by some excellent makers inspired by an awesome and/or your favorite show; Supernatural…and not hear about my Dean daydreams? Understandable. I’ll do my best to keep my Dean daydreams to myself. *laughs nervously*

Hosted by Geekish Glitter Lacquer, A Very Supernatural Collab features nine indie makers each with one item inspired by the TV show Supernatural. The collab preorder starts June 11th at 1 pm CDT to June 18th at 10 pm CDT. Items will be available to purchase individually.

Note: I photograph using artificial daylight lighting with a Canon Rebel t6. If you ever have a question regarding my lighting, camera, or set-up in general feel free to leave a comment or contact me. All of my swatches show 3 coats of polish with a quick dry top coat (Vapid, purchased) or matte topcoat (Swamp Gloss, purchased).

Non Timebo Mala – BCB Lacquers

Non Timebo Mala is a purple polish with iridescent shifting flakes, ruby micro flakes, gunmetal flakes, purple micro flakes, white flakes, gold flakes, with red and copper shimmer and a touch of holo. BCB Lacquer was inspired by fan art of Dean, Sam, and Cass.

Calling all purple polish lovers!!! THIS POLISH IS FOR YOU!

If y’all follow my blog or insta you’ll know I’m a blue polish lover (gosh I wish it had the same ring as purple polish lover *sigh*). But honestly, after I read ruby micro flakes and gunmetal flakes I was SOLD. Plus, the inspo picture Brittany, the maker of BCB Lacquer, used to create the polish is…it’s perfect. I can’t post it here due to Copywrite laws, but if you stumble upon it you’ll be stunned. It looks so much like it!

Moose and Squirrel Keychain – Fangirl Polish

Fangirl whipped up a fun Moose and Squirrel keychain inspired by the Brothers, featuring an anti-possession symbol, the “affectionate” names they call each other, and charms representing their nicknames. Y’all will not want to miss this keychain!

Each Keychain includes:

  • Silver hardware including a swivel clasp, short-chain, and keyring
  • 3D silvertone lead-free/nickel free zinc alloy metal charms

Let’s Finish This Game – Geekish Glitter Lacquer

Let’s Finish This Game! is a black to clear thermal base with red-black multichrome pigment added for an intense shimmer effect and silver holo flakies. Geekish Glitter Lacquer took inspiration from season 10…SPOILER ALERT…Do you remember the bunker fight scene from Soul Survivor with Dean and Sam? The lights go out and it’s dark between the flashing red light? That!

Y’all, how many months has the red-black multichrome been out? A few right? It’s been awhile. I have somehow – not on purpose, possibly forgot to ever pick one up. So to have Geekish Glitter be my first red to black multichrome polish I’m pretty damn excited.

This is a thermal from black to clear, but it’s a subtle thermal. Let’s Finish This Game applied like butter, the red shimmer is BRILLIANT and those silver holo flakies are like the sprinkles on top!

Time Is On My Side – Heaven Scent

Heaven Scent is here to create scent memories with Time Is On My Side. This roll-on perfume scent description is Cabernet, Red Velvet, and a hit of Vanilla Tobacco. Inspired by Bella Talbot, always fun and most likely the life of the party. She was also a total pain in the Winchester brothers’ ass.

The perfume is made with Jojoba Oil, fragrance oil, and mica. Heaven Scent chose gold sparkle mica to represent Bella always chasing after the next big payoff.

Time Is On My Side scent review: I smell the Cabernet notes first – there’s a fresh bite to it, but it’s not bitter. Instead, there’s the red velvet sweetness, but not too sweet. The tobacco notes lurk in the background and the vanilla is there mellowing out any overly masculine smell.

I could see myself wearing this on date night or at home while I cozy up with a spooky supernatural book on a stormy night. Time Is On My Side is a confident scent, but doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s sweet, but won’t be allowed to be pushed over. It’s versatile and I love the gold mica that leaves a subtle shimmer to wherever you apply it.

Love Live The King – Nailed It!

Long Live The King by Nailed It! is a blue to purple to red multichrome.⁠ Inspired by everyone’s favorite demon Crowley (aka the King of the Crossroads) (aka The King of Hel-lo)⁠.

Love Live The King is a shifty beauty. I would love to be able to describe how this polish makes me feel in proper words with proper sentence structure, but I seem to have a problem. I just want to shout compliments at it. So, I’m going to let the pictures do the talking here.

I’m Real Happy To See You – Red Eyed Lacquer

I’m Real Happy To See You is a bright blue crelly with green/orange/yellow shifting flakies and a moss green shifting shimmer. Inspired by Jo.

I was really surprised by I’m Real Happy To See You. I love blue, so it definitely was NOT a bad surprise. The moss green shifting shimmer in this bright blue crelly is STUNNING. I had one of those I didn’t know I needed this in my life moments. Chef’s kiss on this color combo, Red Eyed Lacquer.

What’s Up, Bi*ches?! – Swamp Gloss

What’s Up, B*tches?! is a darkened shade of pink magenta jelly base with red matte hexes. Inspired by dearest Charlie Bradbury.

Jellys can sometimes be shapeshifters. They look dark in the bottle and then when applied to the nail are totally lighter than expected. (this is what you get when you don’t read the description and instead just jump right into the swatching). What’s Up, B*tches?! is a great vampy pink magenta. Plus, it has hexes in it. I wonder if you wear hexes while performing hexes that hex will have double the power?

Oh Yeah You Betcha – Treo Lacquer

Oh Yeah You Betcha is a shimmery holographic dusty blue that glows in the dark. Inspired by Donna, a precious donut eating ball of positivity who brings much needed sunshine into the world of Supernatural.

So, not only is Oh Yeah You Betcha a shimmery holo beauty, it also GLOWS IN THE DARK. I’m already a fan of dusty baby blues (as they look great with my cool toned skin tone) but then Treo drops some gitd ingredients in it. It looks all dainty and delicate during the day, but then comes full spooky at night!

Is That an Ascot? – Wildflower Lacquer

Is That an Ascot is a berry red base with strong gold to green to blue shifting shimmer and purple at some angles. Inspired by Dean Winchester wearing an ascot from the Scoobynatural episode.

Now, I haven’t seen this episode yet (because I haven’t finished Supernatural shh don’t tell anyone) but I NEED TO! As soon as I read Wildflower’s inspiration I immediately looked up the episode. I LOVE SCOOBY DOO and we already know how I feel about Dean. A match made in heaven.

Okay, let’s get back to this polish. Since I haven’t seen the episode yet, I can’t comment on how it reflects the ascot, but I can comment on HOW GORGEOUS THIS POLISH IS. It’s shifty and unique and a little retro. It’s stunning!
