Cupcake Polish – Bermuda Collection

Cupcake Polish – Bermuda Collection

Cupcake Polish Bermuda Collection – Press Sample [Disclosure]

Can you believe summer is right around the corner?!? I swear 1/3rd of me is still in March 2020, while another 3rd is in March 2021 and the final 3rd is living my best self in summer mode already. I’m ready to go full summer mode and Cupcake Polish is here to help by bringing summer right to our fingertips with a beautiful Bermuda-inspired collection.

When I say beautiful I mean it. The Bermuda collection captures the lush and colorful island so dang well! Cupcake has been previously inspired by the island of Bermuda with a trio that had been released and now we’re going back!

Welcome to Bermuda

The Bermuda collection is made up of 6 shimmer polishes and launches May 17th at 7pm CDT. All polishes will be sold individually for $13.00 each.

Bermuda Triangle – a grass green nail polish packed with purple to gold iridescent aurora shimmers
Hamilton  – a coral nail polish packed with blue to pink iridescent aurora shimmers
Moongate – a turquoise nail polish packed with pink to red to gold iridescent aurora shimmers
Pink Beach – light pink nail polish packed with red to green to gold iridescent aurora shimmers
Rum Swizzle – red nail polish packed with green to gold iridescent aurora shimmers
St. George – light purple nail polish packed with green to gold iridescent aurora shimmers

Note: I photograph using artificial daylight lighting with a Canon Rebel t6. If you ever have a question regarding my lighting, camera, or set-up in general feel free to contact me. All of my swatches show 3 coats of polish with a quick-dry topcoat (Vapid, purchased) or matte topcoat (Swamp Gloss, purchased).

Hamilton

A coral nail polish packed with blue to pink iridescent aurora shimmers

Note: I don’t mind seeing my nail line, but if you do I would suggest wearing Cupcake’s VNL Blur (a neutralizing base layer) to reach a more opaque to Hamilton. But because it’s on a sheer-ish side it has duality – wearing it over black or even white (or even navy) would look fantastic!

Moongate

A turquoise nail polish packed with pink to red to gold iridescent aurora shimmers

Note: Moongate is so pretty! This is a turquoise nail polish. However, I think the pink to red to gold shimmers make this turquoise lean to a teal turquoise. In matte, Moongate shows off more of its turquoise side.

Pink Beach

A light pink nail polish packed with red to green to gold iridescent aurora shimmers

Note: My camera and lights really caught the gold shimmer in Pink Beach. This is okay, but at the same time does not show how pretty of a pink Pink Beach is. At the end of this post I do have a section that features other swatchers that covered this collection – make sure you check it out!

Bermuda Tour

Cupcake’s Bermuda collection really is a vacation in a bottle. You’ll want to get lost in this Bermuda Triangle as it pulls the island’s lush greens, while Moongate brings the sparkling ocean and blue skies. Bring Pink Beach (with the cap on securely) to your ear and you might just hear the ocean, waves lapping against the sand. Imagine walking through the towns of St. George and Hamilton – the colors in each polish (purple & coral, pink and blue) bringing Bermuda houses to life. After touring the island you’ll want to relax with a tropical rum drink with Rum Swizzle sparkling on your fingers.

Recently Cupcake switched to fan brushes (and new bottles) and Cupcake’s fantastic formula + fan brush is amazing! Each polish in this collection applied evenly and built up well. If you missed it I did make a note on Hamilton that if having your nail line show you may want to use Cupcake’s VNL Blur.

If you’re a regular reader you’ll know that I don’t reach for reds or purples that often as I’m a lover of blues and greens. Yes, I love Bermuda Triangle and Moongate, but I was surprised at how much I LOVED Rum Swizzle and St. George. The green and gold shimmer packs a punch in Rum Swizzle making it my favorite shade of the collection. As for St. George – it’s 110% for purple lovers. If you love purple you will love St. George. Again, I think it was the gold shimmer in St. George that made it a purple win for me.
