One of my goals this year of 2020/2021 has been drinking more water. So far, I’ve had a pretty good track record of reaching my daily goal of 2.7 litters for a few months now. A huge contribution of me continuingly to reach this is through tea!

When Missy, creator of Different Dimension, reached out about the collection it was an easy answer: Yes! Of course! This is perfect as I’m basically 100% tea at this point!

Inspired by vintage tea party, this Tea Party collection is beautiful. To say I love this collection is an understatement. These six dusty shades are perfect for a day cozied up with a warm blanket and a cup of tea…or any preferred drink. Spoiler: for me it’s tea!

I photograph my swatches in artificial light as I’m a creature of the night. Out of habit, each swatch in this post features 3 coats plus a quick dry or matte topcoat.

I thought it would be fun to pair the polishes with teas I love. Alright, enough about me and my tea obsession, let’s get to the swatches!

Swoooon! Sweet Dreams Are Made Of Teas is the pink I NEEDED in my collection. It’s perfectly dusty, but not powdery. It’s simple but holds its own. I often find myself finding the blues/greens in collections my favorite, but goodness, this one is giving those usuals a run for their money.

I’d pair is Sweet Dreams Are Made of Teas with Paris from Harney & Sons.

Chai Your Best

Chai Your Best – A dusty taupe crelly with holographic microflakies

Part of me really wanted a rusty dusty orange instead of a taupe, but once I applied it to my nails I fell in love. Chai Your Best looks great on its own in both glossy or matte. It’s also going to be a fantastic backdrop for nail art.

My tea pairing here is pretty obvious. I’d recommend sipping on a steaming chai latte while admiring your fresh mani of Chai Your Best. I LOVE chai tea lattes. They are definitely not part of my drinking more water through tea goals, but when I want a little treat you’ll see me reaching for chai.

If you thought this collection was filled with really light dreamy dusty pastels, surprise! Steep Dreams shakes things up a bit with a, for this collection, bold-ish teal. But that’s really what makes a collection – its variety.

I’m going to matchmake Steep Dreams with Peppermint Herbal. Why? Just like peppermint tea, Steep Dreams is clean and refreshing.

I wish I was as punny has Missy. She always comes up with such amazing names for her polishes. If I had to describe cozy in with a polish it would be Smells Like Tea Spirit. Especially in matte.

I’m pairing Smells Like Tea Spirit with an Earl Grey Tea Latte aka London Fog Latte. Easy to make at home or pick up from a coffee shop, put some headphones in to blast Smells Like Teen Spirit, and paint your nails with Smells Like Tea Spirit!

Everything I Brew, I Brew It For You – A dusty blue seafoam crelly with holographic microflakies

Everything I Brew, I Brew It For You is my favorite! Often, if not always, we hear about a seafoam green, but a seafoam blue is amazing! It’s perfect. It’s amazing. All I need is a good book, an overcast day, and this polish. Oh, and tea, of course.

Have you ever heard of Butterfly Pea Tea? It’s a gorgeous blue in color tea that may change color base on temperature. Perfect for making Pinterest-worthy Blue Tea Lattes. This is why I’m matching it with Everything I Brew.

You’re So Brew-tiful

You’re So Brew-Tiful – A dusty heather purple crelly with holographic microflakies

Purples aren’t my favorite and I don’t have a lot in my collection. But this one really surprised me. Maybe it’s the dusty muted purple shade or because it’s giving me some serious Spring vibes. The whole Tea Party collection is full of great spring colors, but You’re So Brew-Tiful 100%.

The match made on cloud nine is a relaxing chamomile tea. Which fits pretty well as I’m wrapping up this collection with another dusty dreamy shade.

Sugar? Cream? Skittles?

To wrap up this post I’m showing off two skittle manis featuring all six of the polishes. Sweet Dreams Are Mado of Tea (ballerina pink) and You’re So Brew-Tiful (heather purple) may look similar when looking at individual pictures, but next to each other you can really see the difference between the two.
