Geekish Glitter Lacquer – As If!
I’ve recently discovered the magical world of nail polish Facebook groups. There’s a group for each one of your desires and if you can’t find the one you want you can create it and invite like minded people to it. I found Yellow Polish Lovers through a post in Geekish Glittler Geeks group. Lexi, owner and creator of Geekish Glitter Lacquer would be doing the monthly custom polish for Yellow Polish Lovers.
Lexi spun up a beautiful mustard yellow polish. Did you know that this is my favorite shade of yellow? It is! To sweeten this pot of gold, As If! features purple-gold-green UCC flakies and an added bonus of hot pink microflakies. It really is stunning!
Let’s get into the polish’s name here. As it’s the whole reason for this post. Lexi created this polish and let the Yellow Polish Lovers group name it! This is one of the many reasons I love facebook polish groups. They are full of fun activities like naming a polish. The naming was presented to the group in giveaway form.
Each member of the group was given the chance to submit one name entry. Winner would be chosen by group members clicking like on the name entry. The name with the most likes would win as the named polish and the winner would receive on free bottle of the custom polish provided by Lexi.
I threw my hat in the bag my suggesting As If! – Inspired by Cher’s iconic yellow and black plaid outfit in Clueless. So, of course, when I received the polish I had to do some Clueless inspired nail art.
The polish itself was a dream to apply. When applied to my nails the color is a bit more yellow orange. If you’d like to achieve more yellow than orange, like you see in the bottle. Simply add a coat of white polish as your base and two coats of As If.
